Why are they called "ugly ducklings" omg they are adorable.

"Ugly ducklings" are cygnets though. This is a gosling, so of course it's not ugly! Though cygnets are not ugly either and are also adorable as hell.

TOO CUTE D:
Also how do you find these little guys? I live near the river but I've only ever seen grown ducks.

These guys are usually with their parents in May or April. They're only babies for around a month or so though, so it's understandable they're not so easy to spot.

I'm always saddened by the fact that baby animals stay babies only for a few months. :C

People are wasting there time with cloning... somebody genetically engineer an animal that will stay a cute baby forever.

That's really offensive to people who identify as those animals, because guess what? You're telling them they have to stay as babies forever, and that's awful! It's also awful to animals-assigned-at-birth, because who would want to be a baby forever? You sick anti-otherkin animal-hating fuck. Check your human-identifying privilege.

Well, you check your privilege, because you assume these people don't want to stay cute and cuddly for all those lives.
You're generalizing and speaking for others. :/

No, you are, because it's obvious people wouldn't want to be mentally challenged (that's what being a baby also implies!). I can't believe I have to explain this to you humans, because there's something called GOOGLE! It's not my job to educate you!

Anyway, I'm going to maybe block you now, because I can't stand people having different opinions. It's too triggering for me to deal with. I have to watch BBC Sherlock now and obsess over Doctor Who with my non-cisgender, non-allistically privileged female-assigned-at-birth friends. Also, please don't talk about how Doctor Who is made by cisgender white men--we know that, and we are watching it to critique the fuck out of Moffat's shitty writing and tell Matt Smith to check his privilege.

He does, doesn't he?

Thanks!

Btw, remember I was talking about how hard it is to draw the Basmachi characters accurately everytime due to the fact they're not based on real people? I found a solution called FaceGen, which allows one to generate realistic faces and modify them in Daz Studio (which is also a free download). You should check both of them out if you want to try using references for Lunar/Eclipse!

That's great! I'm glad you found something that can help. :D
I'm actually not all that interested in using it for Lunar/Eclipse since I don't plan to draw them in a photorealistic style. For now I'm trying a more exaggerated/cartoony style to see if I can shake up their facial features and bodies.

You can see the results here: [link]

Ah, I see. DAZ studio is always good for pose references though--and since it's free, it's really worth checking out. Just a suggestion :)

Can't wait to see the more exaggerated style for the boys. I haven't seen them for a while !

I had the program for a while but eventually got rid of it because I couldn't figure it out and I didn't want to bother with the tutorials :P Maaaaaybe I'll give it a try again now that you've mentioned the pose reference idea (I have no clue why I didn't think of that).

It's not too different from the images I last posted of them... I hope I don't disappoint! :)

It was actually kind of blurry for a Sony shot, so I had to process it with Instagram to make it look less amateur, lol.

Baby birds are adorable!
