Owlpocalypse by charcoalfeather Owlpocalypse by charcoalfeather
Inspired by a conversation with :iconeternalwinters: about one of my favorite children's series (at least when I was a child), the Guardians of Ga'hoole, which features a gang of anthropomorphic owls.

Just a partly-machine owl with blood in the background. Probably a Pure One on steroids in a post-apocalyptic setting/cyberpunk or something. This was originally supposed to be a "pimped" version of The Shattering's cover, but that never came to be.

What I originally wanted this to look like, but since I knew I would never be able to finish it, I just did this instead:

Yes, I started drawing animals again.

Painted on Corel Painter X, 2.5 hours.

"Just a partly-machine owl with blood in the background. Probably a Pure One on steroids in a post-apocalyptic setting/cyberpunk or something." <--- This cracked me up.

Also I think that is Ginger, although there are debates which owl that is.

Also, I think you should post the other version you have linked there, thats also quite cool.

Actually, I have nothing against furries, but nowhere in the book did she say they were anthropomorphic. For all we know, their just really smart owls. In fact, in the movie they were normal owls who could talk and do things with their talons. I'm just saying.

*they're

That is anthropomorphic though. Speaking, reading, etc. made them anthropomorphic. They don't have to be human shaped to be anthros.

The series is even listed under "literature featuring anthropomorphic characters" on Wikipedia: [link]

Oh, your right. My bad. And also, who honestly cares about the difference between "their" and "they're"? Fucking grammar nazi.
